BasketFit Notes guide
BasketFit Notes helps you compare measurements without pretending that one nominal diameter is a universal standard. Treat every result as a screening note, then verify the machine and accessory manuals.
Record a machine reference
Use one consistent reference for diameter, tab count, and basket depth. Manufacturer drawings are preferable to a measurement taken from a gasket or a used basket.
dimension match = absolute difference <= your review tolerance
A 58.2 mm accessory is within a 0.5 mm review tolerance of a 58.0 mm reference.
Compare the locking interface
Tab count is an exact comparison in this worksheet. It is only one part of the interface: tab shape, angular position, thickness, and gasket engagement can still differ.
tab match = accessory tabs equals machine tabs
Two tabs compared with two tabs receive a tab-count match, not a fit guarantee.
Use missing values honestly
A blank diameter, tab count, or depth becomes an unknown check. The planner will not convert missing information into a positive result.
possible match requires every supplied check to align
A row with matching diameter but no depth is reported as needing supplied specs.
Limits and assumptions
- The result compares only the dimensions you supply. It does not prove seal, lock, clearance, basket geometry, dose range, or extraction behavior.
- Nominal diameter labels can hide variations in tabs, ears, rim shape, gasket location, and manufacturer tolerances.
- Confirm the exact machine and accessory manuals before purchase or use.
